The Ancestry of the Zickerman and James Families Updated January 1, 2011
About Our Family Research
In August of 2010, I began as a hobby to research my family ancestry. I am just getting started.
My paternal side of the family are ZICKERMANNs. The JAMES ancestry is the maternal side of my family.
So far, I have found quite a few families that are related one way or another to either the ZICKERMANN or JAMES family ancestry. This is a work in progress so there is a possibility of errors in the data that I have collected. I am not a professional genealogist this is only a hobby of mine.
The ZICKERMANN family ancestry I am currently researching starts from where my paternal grandfather was born. Stettin, Germany (formerly Prussia and now a part of Poland after WWII.) this is where my grandfather was born and lived until he decided to immigrate to the United States in the early 1900's. So far, I have been trying to put together any bits and pieces of what I can find of the ZICKERMANN's ancestry online. However, currently quite a few records are not available online at this time. Needless to say, progress is slow going for that reason.
My research on the JAMES ancestry is progressing a little faster than my ZICKERMANN research. The only thing is that there so many of them. I have found some pretty interesting relations to say the least, while researching the JAMES ancestry.
If you have any information you would care to share regarding my research of the ZICKERMANN's or JAMES' Ancestry or have any possible corrections or comments you would like to contribute, I can be contacted via the email address I have provided for this site. I would appreciate any help.
Even though this research I am doing is just a hobby of mine, I am using information based on actual historic documentation and facts that I have found during my research. Again any help is welcomed.
