I am related to a Charles Matthias Walter that came here from Brugge Switzerland in the Mid 1800's and he lived in Dayton Ohio. He started a paint/turpentine business. He had 5 children.... Robert, Martha, Charles, William and Richard. There was an almost 26 yr difference between Robert (the oldest) and Richard (the youngest) Charles was my grandfather.
Charles Matthias Walter's, first wife was Carrie Limpert (she was the mother of all 5 children)had a sister named Pearl. They lived in Dayton, Ohio and their father ran a tavern on the East side of Dayton that both he girls served in as bar maids.
Charles was married to a Frances Glen Boone. They had 2 sons Chuck and Dennis. I am Dennis's daughter. Charles passed away in the late 40's or early 50's from polio. I am not exactly sure when Robert passed away. I believe in the early 70's. Martha passed away in January of 2002. The either brothers, William and Robert... I do not have any information on.
