Patrick Donlon/Mary Spelacy familly, County Clare, Ireland

Updated January 2, 2001

About Our Family Research

I have traced my Donlon family back to the village of Burren in 1846. A daughter, Honor, was baptized in what is known today as the Parish of Ballynacally/Lissycasey. This is between Kilrush and Ennis. Their children that I know about are: Thomas(my great grandfather), Michael, Patrick, Honor, Bridget. I do not find any record of Honor once they arrived in the Gainesville, NY area. The godparents of Honor were Michael Donlon and Margaret Spelacy.
I do not know if there is any other descendants living in this area at this time. Bridget married Patrick Fitzgibbons about 1860. They settled in Warsaw, NY and were farmers. They had a large family, at least 6 children. Michael had 2 children, George and Mary. Thomas married Catherine McCrink and they had one son, Patrick (my grandfather). Patrick was married and had a son, Thomas, and many daughters. I also have information stating that Michael and his wife had a daughter, Edna Belle who died 8/16/1887 at the age of 1 yr. 3 months.
