Just beginning my search of my elusive family history. I think my Great-Grandmother may have been the black sheep of the family. From what I can see she is the only child who left Utah. All my family history has always been "water under the bridge."
Truth or not, this is what I know. My Great-Grandmother Nora Bell Higley was excommunicated from the Mormon church due to attending another church, Babtist I think. She was married at least twice, I think three times, maybe four. Don't know if it was divorce or widowed. My grandmother was named after her sister Pearl Ellen Elizabeth Higley who died young and I was named after my Grandmother, Pearl Louise Langton.
From what I can see, I have a lot of family in the Salt Lake City, Utah area and I would like to come into contact with them so I can peice together my history. My mother, her monther and her mother's mother are all dead, so I am left with many questions.
I am lucky to have found the site with my family history on my great grandmother's side that dates back to the late 1500's. The other side of my family is more elusive. I have no information on my father and my grandfather was adopted. So for now, I'll begin with the less elusive Higley side that is within reach and trudge painstakingly to discover from where else I come.
