I have been researching my family for about nine years. I have made contact with archive establishments in Slovenia as well as here in America. I have made a majority off my strides in death and baptismal certificates from the archives and the Archdiocese of Chicago. I do write letters to any addresses or names or numbers I come across. I explain my search and ask if they have anything to correct or to share. Most people have been so generous with their information and helpful in my journey. It has lead to my contact with a possible cousin in Slovenia.
