Family & Local Histories is a collection of genealogies, local histories, and other primary source materials as well as genealogical and local history serials. These books and other documents have been amassed from genealogy society collections from around the country as well as the Newberry Library (Chicago), the Widener Library (Harvard University), the New York Public Library, and the University of Illinois at Urbana.

How do online subscriptions work and what is the automatic
renewal policy?
Receive instant, anytime access to the entire Family & Local Histories online collection. Your subscription will automatically renew
at the end of your subscription period. So, you'll never have to worry
about unexpectedly losing access because you forgot to re-subscribe.
All monthly subscriptions are "auto-renewing," meaning
that we will bill your credit card each month, on the anniversary of the calendar
day of your subscription, until you cancel. If the calendar day on which you subscribed
does not exist in the following month(s), the billing date will be the date closest
to the subscription anniversary date. For example, if you subscribe on June 10,
your next billing date is July 10. If you subscribe on March 31, your next billing
date is April 30. For billing purposes, we will keep your credit card information
on file and may ask you to update it. You may cancel your monthly subscription
prior to the next billing date to avoid future charges by calling 1-800-548-1806.
You may also convert your monthly subscription
to an annual subscription anytime. If you have had a subscription for more than
7 days and you choose to cancel, your access to the subscription will continue
until the next billing date.
All annual subscriptions are also "auto-renewing,"

cookies. As with all Internet applications, a faster processor, more RAM and more
free disk space will enhance performance.
How does the money back policy work?
If you are not completely satisfied with any online subscription or other intangible product, you may request a refund within seven days of the date of purchase.
If you are not completely satisfied with any Membership, data CD, or other tangible product, you may request a refund within thirty days of the date of purchase.
If a product is labeled "all sales final" at the time of purchase, you are not entitled to a refund of any kind.
