More About this Data Set
Some of the pages in the original books were printed sideways. To make it easier for you to read them on your computer monitor, Genealogy.com rotated these pages to the upright position. Please also note that the original books were in relatively poor condition, some even missing pages. Because of this, a very small percentage of the pages in this data set may be difficult to read. When scanning in the original pages, we make every attempt to make them readable, but their legibility ultimately depends on the quality of the original printed pages. You will also notice in the index to this data set that some of the names contain question marks, as in "B???, William." The question marks indicate that a name was unknown or difficult to transcribe from the original.
