About the Data
This data set contains images of the pages from seventeen volumes of Maryland genealogies and family histories. Originally published by Family Line Publications, these books contain information about approximately 150,000 individuals. While most of the individuals listed have family roots in Maryland, some have roots in Pennsylvania and other surrounding states. The Maryland resources included in this data set reference both primary and secondary sources including court and land records, administrations and wills, vital records, and family histories. Some of the genealogies reference books or records that may help you find additional information. You may determine the following about an ancestor included in this data set: birth or baptism date, marriage date, occupation, information about physical characteristics, details about personal property held, and death date. Much of the information references entire families allowing you the opportunity to gain a more complete understanding of your ancestors and their lives.
