Genealogy.com Releases World Family Tree Diamond Collection; Offers 70% Savings to Consumers

With Over 117 Million Individuals Listed, World's Largest Pedigree Database is Now an Even Greater Value for Family History Researchers

September 15, 2000 (FREMONT, CALIFORNIA) — Genealogy.com, LLC today announced the World Family Tree Diamond Collection, the next generation in the company's popular online genealogy database. Among the most popular of Genealogy.com's online databases, World Family Tree is constantly expanding, adding over 1 million new names to the database each month. A new $19.99 monthly subscription grants access to all 61 volumes in the World Family Tree Diamond Collection online for one full month – a savings of 70% over the previous pricing structure. An annual subscription is available for $199.99 – a 20% savings over the month-to-month cost.

World Family Tree Diamond Collection subscriptions are available immediately online at www.familytreemaker.com/wftonline. Monthly subscriptions are available for $19.99; yearly subscriptions cost $199.99. Subscriptions renew automatically, to avoid cessation of service.

Access to the World Family Tree Diamond Collection requires Windows 95 or Windows 98, 486 or higher IBM PC or compatible, 8 MB RAM, minimum 8 MB hard disk space (full install takes 40 MB), 2X CD-ROM drive or faster, 640x480 display, 256 colors. Family Tree Maker version 4.0 or higher, or Family Tree Viewer version 3.02 or higher software also required. Works with most popular printers (monochrome and color) supported by Windows. Modem (28.8 kbps recommended) and Internet Service Provider account required for web site connection. User is responsible for all Internet access fees and phone charges. May require minor adjustments to the configuration of your operating system and/or updates to the hardware component drivers.
