Genealogy.com Releases Family Origins® 10

New Software Includes Comprehensive Searching, Publishing, Navigation, and Customization Tools to Make It Easier to Research, Preserve and Share a Unique Family Heritage.

Family Origins 10 Deluxe, which includes a free 1-month subscription to Genealogy Library, retails for $39.99. Upgrades from previous versions of Family Origins are available for $19.99.

With Family Origins 10, it's easier than ever to collect family stories, organize a family history, and create beautiful family charts to share and pass down to future generations. Getting started is simple. Genealogy enthusiasts start by filling in the blanks with known names, dates, and facts about family members. As more information is collected, Family Origins 10 stores, sorts, and organizes this information; users are just a click away from creating family trees that loved ones will admire and cherish through the years. Family Origins 10 creates hourglass family trees and family books, as well as address labels, personalized calendars, and reports to assist in gathering and sharing more information.

Linking Sources to Multiple Individuals - Link sources to multiple individuals at the same time. Tying a record reference to a family lets users track their research more quickly and easily than ever.

Printing To PDF - Users can make sure ancestor and descendant charts are preserved exactly as they intended by printing them in PDF format. Sharing these charts with family members or sending them to be professionally printed has never been easier.

Customized Toolbar - Customize the toolbar with favorite buttons. Family Origins 10 lets users easily add, move, remove or reset the toolbar for added convenience and ease of use.

Access Most Recent Files - Access to most recent database files is faster than ever. Family Origins 10 now includes a list of the most recent viewed database.

Access to Genealogy Library - Gain access to millions of valuable genealogy records, including census, marriage, military, vital, land, and more. This growing online resource features the entire 1850 census and over 100 million people across 5 centuries.

Opening and Working in Multiple Databases - Family Origins 10 lets hobbyists open and work in multiple databases with ease. They can simply drag and drop information from one file to another and information will be automatically placed and linked where they want it. It's easier than ever to transfer individuals exactly where they are wanted.

TempleReady® Support - LDS users can easily update their data after submitting it to the Temple. Family Origins 10 is fully compatible with TempleReady for Windows, allowing them to automatically update their files.

Family Origins 10 Deluxe Version is available now in select retail stores for an estimated street price of $39.99. Family Origins 10 requires Windows® 95 or Windows 98, 486 or higher IBM PC or compatible, 8MB RAM, minimum 8MB hard disk space (full install takes 40 MB), 2X CD-ROM drive or faster, 640x480 display, 256 colors. Works with most popular printers (monochrome and color) supported by Windows. Modem (28.8 kbps recommended) and Internet Service Provider account required for web site creation, online support functionality and other features.
