Between 1850 and 1860, the family was very perfillic and expanded from just one child to five children. Sometime between Sara's birth in 1854 and James' birth in 1856, the family moved from Pennsylvania to Grant County, Wisconsin...Per 1850 U.S. Census records for Lancaster Township, Grant County, Wisconsin, enumerated on August 21, 1860 (just months before the election that would bring Abraham Lincoln to the White House, and the Southern States to secede and form the Confederate States of America);
Henry Clinger, age 38, Farmer, b. Pennsylvania;
Martha J Clinger, age 38, b. Pennsylvania;
Mary E Clinger, age 12, b. Pennsylvania;
John A Clinger, age 10, b. Pennsylvania;
Sarah A Clinger, age 6, b. Pennsylvania;
James Clinger, age 4, b. Wisconsin;
Johnston, age 2. b. Wisconsin.
[No more mention of John Draggs.]

The 1860 decade saw many changes occur in the family. There was one new birth, a daughter Fanny, in 1861. The two oldest, Mary and John, are no longer living at home. And sadness in that sometime during this ten year period mother Martha passes away. She in not listed in the 1870 U.S. Census for Lancaster Township, Grant County, Wisconsin:

Sarah Clinger, age 16, b. Pennsylvania;
James Clinger, age 15,b. Wisconsin;
Johnston, age 11, b. Wisconsin;
also listed in the census living with Henry's family was one Irwin Dorcas, age 67, b. Pennsylvania [relationship not listed].
