OBITUARY-

Ella Withington Lamberton, daughter of Geroge and Nancy Withington was born February 21, 1853, in the state of Pennsylvania and passed away at her home in Mt. Hope on Friday, January 19, 1945.

Mrs. Lamberton came with her parents to Bagley when but a child and where she received her education.

In 1873 she was united in marriage to Alfred Harville, making their home in Millville (Grant County). To this union were born five children: Clara (Mrs. Will Davis) of Eddyville, Nebraska; Pearl (Mrs. Roy Cohoe of Evanson, Illinois; John, who passed away at age 21; and twin sons, Walter and Wallace of Mt. Hope.

In 1895 she was married to Carey Lamberton, living the remainder of her life in the home where she passed away. Mr. Lamberton preceded her in death in 1918 (sic). [Note: this date is in error; according to the 1920 US Census, Carey is listed as living in Mt Hope village. See "Notes" under Carey for additional information.]

Aunt Ella, as she was better known, was a great lover of flowers and out-door nature, always busy in her garden when health permitted.

She had been an invalid for the past several years, but was always cheerful, never complaining. She was tenderly cared for by her sons Walter and Wallace.

Besides the children, she is survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
