OBITUARY: Wayne Co. (KY) Outlook, Thursday, 8 May 1913

Mrs. Belle Conley, deceased, was born in Wayne Co., KY July 18, 1854. Was married to L. J. Conley of Wayne County Dec. 25, 1899. He preceded her to the better land seven years ago. She meekly obeyed her Master's call to come up higher after three weeks hard struggle with pneumonia, culminating from la grippe. All that loving hands of relatives and best skilled physician, Dr. Childress of Hustonville, could do failed, and on April 29, 1913, we could only bow in submission to Him who giveth life and taketh away.
Deceased professed her faith in Christ in girlhood and lived a consistent Christian life until its close.
She is survived by four brothers and three sisters, besides a host of nieces and nephews. Her brothers are, namely, Messrs. J. H. and J. D. Eads of Stanford; T. P. and J. B. Eads of Hustonville. The sisters are, Mrs. Martha Loving, Palace, KY; Mrs. Emily Young of Iowa; and Mrs. J. P. Eads of Hustonville, with whom she had been visiting during the past month.
Funeral services were conducted at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. P. Eads by Rev. J. C. McClary, after which all that was mortal was laid to rest in Buffalo Cemetery, Stanford, beside her father, J. D. Eads, Sr., who, with her mother and two sisters, preceded her to her heavenly home several years ago.
Her death came as a mighty shock to all the family as well as to her many friends throughout Lincoln and Wayne counties. We shall sadly miss her but we realize our loss is her gain and we are made to exclaim as David of old; She cannot return to us but we shall go to her.

ix.   JOSEPH DOUGLAS EADS, b. October 21, 1857, Wayne, Kentucky; d. May 11, 1939, Jefferson, Kentucky.
  x.   LUCY CATHERINE EADS, b. January 7, 1859, Wayne, Kentucky; d. January 22, 1949, Fayette, Kentucky.
