Dear Lessa,

I have no Richardson heritage, however Lorenzo D.S. Patton was the pride of
my great grandfather's family. His first wife was Mary Elizabeth Richardson, daughter of John Reese Richardson and Melissa E. Adams of Summerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky who is in your data base.

Mary Richardson and Lorenzo Patton had two daughters, Nina and Jessie. Nina is believed to have died in her girlhood and Jessie married Frank T. Kuehn in Yakima, Washington. The Kuehn's may have lived in Seattle. Jessie (Patton) Kuehn died of what is believed to be food poisoning contracted at a large
Thanksgiving feast, along with her father and many other family members.
(have copy of long newspaper clipping regarding this which I can share.) I
don't have a dob for Jessie who was born in Kentucky aft 1883, married Frank
T. Kuehn abt. August of 1905 according to Lorenzo's letter, and died 28 Nov
1910 probably in North Yakima, Washington.

I am copying from my great grandfather's newspaper clipping, below, Mary E.
Richardson's obituary (wife of Lorenzo D.S. Patton. She died 19 March 1903.

Obituary
Mary E. Patton
Mary E. Patton, wife of L.D.S. Patton, died at her home last Thursday,
March 19. [1903]
Mrs. Patton had been bed-ridden for ten dreary weeks of dire suffering
from a complication of diseases which culminated finally and which was surely
a relief for the stricken body.
Mr. and Mrs. Patton and their only daughter, Miss Jessie Patton came here from Kentucky about two years ago. He invested money in the town and was quite prosperous, only recently beginning the erection of a new home.
The death of his wife has thwarted these plans and his future course is undecided. The deceased had a large circle of friends in the city who deeply
sympathize with her bereaved husband and daughter. Funeral services were
conducted from the house Saturday afternoon. Internment Tahoma cemetery.

Thanks for posting such a lot of fascinating and excellent information! This
may help you fill in a couple blanks in Mary's file.
