Walter Elias McQueen born 12/6/1873, was living at Neva, JCT (Johnson
County, T.N) in 1958. He married Margaret Ann Buckles of Elizabethon on
9/3/1891. He farmed in Johnson and Carter Counties, was in the Army in WWI.
After his discharge he bought a farm and lived near Cleveland in Bradley
County, Tenn., where his wife died in 1920. He then moved to South Bend,
Indiana where he was employed in a power house. All his children went to
Indiana where they (1958) live. He married Mary Farthing 1/31/1942, who was
the daughter of Walter Farthing and Tina Slimp of Watauga County, N.C.
Walter and his first wife had 7 children, and he and his second wife had 3
children. In 1958 all were living.






33. WILEY A.4 MCQUEEN (ELIJAH ELIAS GWYN3, WILLIAM L.2, SAMUEL1) was born Abt. 1838 in Johnson, Tennessee, and died Bef. 1873. He married CLARA DUGGER.

34. MARGARET CAROLINE4 MCQUEEN (SAMUEL E.3, THOMAS2, SAMUEL1) was born May 10, 1846 in Johnson, Tennessee, and died October 16, 1930. She married DR. ROBERT CAMPBELL RHEA, son of ROBERT RHEA and NANCY DAVIDSON. He was born April 19, 1837 in Sullivan, Tennessee, and died November 3, 1911 in Johnson, Tennessee.

Margaret Caroline McQueen, born 5-10-1846, died 10-16-1930, married Dr.
Robt. Campbell Rhea shortly after the Civil War, about 1867. He was born
4-19-1837 and died 11-3-1911. There are 4 branches of the Rhea family, the
Preston Rheas, the Muddy Cr. Rheas, the Snapp Rheas and the Breden Rheas.
Dr. Robt. C. belonged to the Preston Rhea branch. Several Rheas are listed
as having been in what is now Sullivan Co. prior to 1785. One, John Rhea,
son of Joseph Rhea a Presbyterian minister was later a member of Congress.
A Robt. Campbell is reported to have lived in N.E. Tenn. prior to 1785.

Dr. Rhea was a medical student at the time he was married. He practiced at
Shouns later, all his life. Several years after the Civil War he restored
the old McQueen home and he and his family lived there until he died and the
home has been occupied by him and his descendants ever since it was
restored.

Dr. Robt. C. and Caroline Rhea had 11 children. Joseph died age 16 and John
Wayne in infancy. The other 9 are listed below in proper sequence:

V-1. Sam'l Robt. Rhea, born 3-22-1868, died 9-28-1930, married Nellie
Hendrickson at Chloride, Arizona. He practiced at Shouns, lived in the old
McQueen-Rhea home.
V-2. Mary Elizabeth Rhea, born 11-21-1868, died 5-16-1924, married Dr.
Joseph Smythe Donnelly (Harrison C; Richard; Robt. DONNELLY) & (Margaret
Shoun Donnelly; David H; Leonard SHOUN) He was born 12-30-1869, died
3-12-1915. They lived and he practiced at Shouns, Johnson County,
Tennessee. They had 2 girls, Irence and Edith and 1 son, Rhea
V-3. Nancy Martitia Rhea married Dr. C. Meigs Dulaney at Blountville, Tenn.
V-4. Margaret Rhea, single
V-5. Frances Preston Rhea, killed in an auto wreck, single
V-6. Chas. Caldwell Rhea, may have been a doctor, single
V-7. Dr. Edwin Bruce Rhea, single
V-8. Eleanor Campbell "Nellie" Rhea married in 1912, Wm. Elliott Clayton
Wright son of Robt. Wright and his wife Sraah Virginia McQuown (Isaac
Alexander; Isaac McQUOWN).
V-9. Carolyn Rhea married R. Clyde Hodge who had been a journalist at
Johnson City, He is dead. She has always lived in the old McQueen-Rhea
home at Shouns.
