I am one of four children born to Anthony Junior Altobelli and Deva Rae Davidson. My father was born & raised in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan (12/5/1928) and my mother in El Monte, California(08/18/27).
We are looking for who we believe to be our grandfather Antonio Altobelli from Vallecorsa,Roma,Italy. Antonio came to US when he was about 16. He lived in Detroit until he passed away in 1981. My grandmother Rose Santelia had my father in her parents house 8977 Clarion St. Detroit, Michigan on 12/05/1928. The bith certificate records Antonio Altobelli as 35 years old and my grandmother Rose at 21 years old. My grandmother remarried when my father was very young to a Kennith Smith and my father became Anthony Smith until he went into the service and took back his birth name. He left Detroit and never went back I don't think he ever talked or seen his father again. My father and grandmother talked little about the Altobelli's or Santelia's most of my information has come from census reports.

My grandmother was Rosa Santelia and her parents were Domenic Antonio Santelia and Caterina Amoruso. Both of them came through Castle Garden in 1886/7 from Ripabottoni, Italy.

We have found most of my grandmothers sibblings except for two of them one is Lucy/Lucia Santelia and Joseph Santelia. Last record of Joseph was in Detroit living with his parents at the age of 18yrs old working at the auto plant.

1.Joseph Feco - Rose Santelia's brother in law
2.Lillian Santelia Feco - Joseph's wife - Rose's sister
3.Joseph Feco Jr. - Lillian and Joseph's son
4.Andrew Feco - Lillian and Joseph's son

We have made contact with Wanda Harris who is a relative on the Santelia side. Wanda is the great great great grandaughter of Domenic and Caterina Santelia. There is also a grandaughter of Domenic and Caterina Santelia still alive in Detroit. I just recieved a letter from her confirmining the names of my great Aunt's and Uncle's. Her name is Laura and she is my father' cousin she will be 83 years old this year.
