The Samuel Privett, 1790, family

About Our Family Research


I can locate Samuel Privett, b.1790, VA, his wife and children starting in NC, moving to Kentucky about 1840, and then on to Missouri in 1871, but I can't seem to connect to which earlier Privetts this Sam Privett is related to. The name Upchurch comes up frequently, all the way to Missouri. Samuel Privett, b. 1852 KY, the son of Elias Privett, b. 1824 NC and Mary Polly Upchurch b. ?, was my great grandfather. Elias and Polly are buried in Ava, Douglas Co., MO, as Sam Privett (b. 1852). The later Sam Privett married Delana Elizabeth Barnett, daughter of Levi Barnett, b. 1805 TN and Elizabeth Williams b. ? TN. I need information on the Barnetts and the burial place of Delana Elizabeth Barnett.
