Notes for Leroy (Lee) Wooldridge:
The Religious Herald for April 5, 1839, says that Leroy Wooldridge of Campbell County married "on the 14th ult. (Thursday)" (i.e., last Thursday) Mrs. Frances McCormick . Elder Thomas A. LeGrand was the minister. This was a Baptist newspaper so they were probably Baptist. The "Mrs." shows that she was a widow.
Leroy Wooldridge second marriage was to a Mrs. Mary F. Scruggs. She was a widow and had a daughter, Angeline Scruggs.

      13. Emmaline Sydney Ferguson, born Abt. 1841 in Appomattox, Virginia; died Abt. 1889 in Appomattox, Virginia. She was the daughter of 26. Roland Ferguson and 27. Mary Elizabeth Jennings.

Notes for Chancey Comedor Ferguson:
CC Ferguson was a Confederate Soldier in Company B-2nd, 46th Virginia Infantry Regiment, Wise Brigade from 6-19-1861 til his discharge 11-21-1865. He was a Private. He was captured on Roanoke Island NC on Feb 18,1862 and was paroled in Elizabeth City NC on Feb 21, 1862. CC died at age 99 after breaking his hip in a fall. He was married twice and had 25 children. He is buried on his farm in Appomattox County, Virginia.

Emmaline and CC were having a family / friend corn shucking party and during the evening Emmaline had a heart attack and died.
