This is a lifelong work-in-progress that is uniquely for my own line that I have created to help my children and their children to find where they came from. My concern is that our culture has so many failed marriages that no one 'learns' who their families were. There used to be neighborhoods of a family where children could run from granny's to aunt's house to see who had the best supper on the stove. Too often now, young people don't know the names of their immediate family. I myself can't tell you the married names of some of my first cousins and that is embarrassing.

I have made several pilgrimages in 1999 to cemeteries and communities where my ancestors lived. I can't begin to express to you the feeling that I had when I walked on the same land
where they had built a dwelling with their own skills. These are some of the family names that I hope to learn about. If I can put a face to a name in my database, I can see where I came from.

  Born July 04,1830 in Lincoln Co, TN. Died September 30,1891 Barry Co, MO Military Service - Captain in Missouri State Guard during the Civil War. He served in the Indian Regiment with Stand Watie.
