He married (1) ELLEN PARKER JONES 13 Sep 1849 in Marion Co, MO; A/44, daughter of WILLIAM JONES and JANE BOWEN. She was born 18 Dec 1832 in Worcester Co, MD, and died 18 Jul 1857 in res Rt. 251, Section 3, Marion Co, MO. He married (2) SARAH SAMANTHA THRASHER 24 Feb 1859 in Marion Co, MO, daughter of JOHN THRASHER and ELIZABETH RUSH. She was born Abt. 1833, and died Unknown.

Notes for SAMUEL MILLER:
Mia Fleegel had only the children Eliza and John Andrew listed as proven for Samuel and Ellen (Jones) Miller, these being the children listed on the 1860 census. David Bush showed additional children: John, Belinda, Mary, and Joel. Given the date of death of the mother, she would be unlikely to have this many more children. By the time of the 1860 Census, Ellen Parker Jones was dead, and these children, who would still be very young, are not in the household.

J. T. Talbott, a farmer of Millersburg, was born 13 Aug 1822 to George and Unity (Smith) Talbott. Unity was a daughter of Daniel and Nancy (Baker) Smith, who were natives, the former of Delaware, the latter of Eastern Shore of Maryland. The Smiths came early to Bourbon County.

George Talbott was a son of Harry and Barbara (Whaley) Talbott. Harry Talbott was supposed to have come from England when a youth to Fredericksburg, Virginia. George raised a family of nine children to maturity, viz:
Daniel, residing at Carlisle;
Mrs. William Parker, in Nicholas;
Preston W., in Ruddel's Mills;
J. T.;
George H., at Cynthiana;
Charles L., in Ruddel's Mills;
Nancy, married John Parker, she died leaving heirs at Carlisle;
Rezin, married a Miss Elizabeth A. Bell (he deceased), family in Nicholas;

J. T. lived with his father, receiving a very limited education, until his marriage 27 Aug 1849 to Elizabeth A. Conway, daughter of Nathaniel S. and Annie C. (Baker) Conway.

Nathaniel S. Conway was born 28 May 1798 and died 6 Jan 1879 and was a son of John and Annie (Sutton) Conway, who were natives of Virginia that came to Nicholas County at an early date. Annie C. Baker was born 7 July 1805 and died 3 May 1853. She was a daughter of William and Elizabeth (Kimbrough) Baker, natives of Nicholas County.

Mr. Talbott by this marriage had ten children:
Annie B., born 22 Oct 1850, widow of Hon. Henry C. Dills of Falmouth;
Mary E., born 25 Dec 1851, wife of Wm. Durham, farmer of Nicholas County;
Jennie U., born 13 Mar 1854, wife of John R. Madison of Cynthiana;
Fannie G., born 23 Jul 1856;
Willie W., born 26 Jul 1858, in mercantile business at Millersburg;
Nannie P., born 22 Jul 1860, wife of Willie McKee, Harrison County farmer;
Charles M., born 3 Jul 1862;
John C., born 17 Mar 1865
Arthur, born 30 Apr 1867;
Stanley, born 24 Aug 1869.

The family attended the Christian Church at Indian Creek.
