ILLIAM GIDEON MILLER:
William Gideon Miller was Justice of the Peace of Liberty Township, Marion County, Missouri in 1880. He served as superintendent of the Marion County Cooperative store at Palmyra, beginning in 1882.

The family attended Thrasher Chapel, Methodist Episcopal Church South.

The end of his life came from complications from a broken hip. He had fallen on a sidewalk near his home 5 Jul 1924. His kidneys were affected by the shock and medicine, and he died of kidney poisoning.

  Notes for WILLIAM ABDEL MILLER:
William A. Miller's obituary states that he died in Sheridan, Wyoming and that his remains were returned to Marion County for burial. A funeral was held in the Methodist Church. He died as a result of a gall stone operation, which he did not survive because of his weakened condition.

He grew up in Palmyra and moved to Sheridan, Wyoming to take a position as chief surgeon of that district for the Burlington Railroad, and was also a city physician in Sheridan. His wife survived him. The obituary is dark and bears no date, but seems to state that he was about 32 years of age.

Madora Miller Barr died in Levering Hospital in Hannibal, MO.

The Death of Mrs. Medora Barr
She passes away in the Levering Hospital -- Funeral Friday at Broadway Methodist Church

Yesterday, Mrs. Medora Barr passed away at the Levering hospital at 11:40 a.m. She was taken ill last Friday and was removed to the hospital yesterday.

Mrs. Barr had spent most of her life in this part of the state, having been born in Miller township, Feb. 29, 1860. She was 68 years of age. At the time of her death she resided near Antioch.

To mourn her death she leaves a husband and the following children: Mrs. George Rice of North Fourth street; Alfred Hayden of Oakwood; Leslie and Rufus of this city and Oscar of Palmyra.

The body was removed to Smith's undertaking parlors and prepared for burial. The funeral will be held Friday at the Broadway Methodist church and will be conducted by Rev. Talmage Fry, assisted by Rev. Frank J. Maple. Burial at Palmyra.

Medora died from diabetes melitis. Her attending physician was Dr. A. B. Blue from 2 Feb 1918 until 6 Feb 1918.

Hannibal. March 6 - Rufus Hayden, 66 years old, died at his home, 2015 Gordon street, at 6:20 o'clock Wednesday morning after an illness of two months duration.

Mr. Hayden is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosie Hayden, by his five sons, Alfred and Paul of Hannibal and Oscar, Rufus and Leslie of Palmyra, and by his daughter Mrs. George Rice of Hannibal.

Funeral services will be held from the Christian church at Palmyra this afternoon, with the Rev. H. C. Parsons of that church in charge of the ceremony. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery, located in Palmyra.

Ernest died in a shooting accident. He met a friend who asked if he wanted to shoot a rabbit. He was about 14 years old. The gun caught on a branch and fired prematurely, and he was shot in the chest.
