He married MARY ALICE SPARKS Unknown. She was born 1884 in Of Grant City Mo, and died 1963 in Grandview Cemetery West Albany Gentry Co Mo G2.

Notes for CHARLES EDWARD ERNST:
Charles Edward Ernst attended Christian College at Albany and was admitted to the bar in 1900. He practiced law in Albany, MO.

Prosecuting Attorney for Gentry County, Missouri for the following terms:
1919-1920; 1921-1922; 1923-1924; 1943-1944; 1945-1946; 1947-1948; 1949-1950.

He died in October 1949 while in office, at age 78.

Member of AF & AM Lodge #127, member of Albany Rotary & Albany Baptist Church. Survived by wife, Alice, 2 children: Mrs. Ernestine Seiter of Lexington Mo & Charles Ernst of Long Beach CA. Mentions granddaughter Angela of California and 1/2 brother Mac Canaday.

Notes for ERNESTINE ERNST:
Taught school at Warrensburg Mo 1935 and also at Grant City Mo. According to Arleta Utterback (322 Catherine St. Monroe City, MO 63456), Ernestine was a college professor who did not marry until age 44. Ernestine spend much of her summer holidays researching old historical records. Arleta's cousin, Carla, was given Ernestine's papers when Ernestine died suddenly. Arleta does not give a date for the death. She shows that Ernestine taught at Moberly Junior College and the University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri, and was later a professor at Wyoming University.

She goes on to say that many of the records Ernestine had were from DAR records and were lists of marriages and other data that she thought may connect. Almost none had information of descendants.

According to "Death Notices..." below, Eugene Reser is supposed to be buried in the Hartford Cemetery. Two of his wives are found there, but if he is buried there, he has no stone.
