Clinton Ward was in the service at Camp Roberts in 1952. He married twice, the second time in the Fall of 1953. The daughter is apparently the child of his second wife.

Notes for SHIRLEY LENORE WARD:
Shirley McCreath wrote me in December 2000 as a result of her daughter, Cindy McCreath Woolsey, having contacted me by email. She sent certain details about her family, and said that her brother Sherard Dukes Ward looked a great deal like Robert S. Dukes.

Shirley also says, "Patricia Lee Nick Name."

Shirley says that they have 8 granchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild due January 2, 2002.

She continues that she has a chest made of 3/4 inch thick oak that is 28-1/2 inches high in front and 35 inches high in the back. The chest has a sloped lid that rases completely across its 5 foot length. It has square head nails throughout. Written on the back of the piece is "Charles N. Dukes" in his own hand.

Shirley apologizes for her handwriting and says she has replacement joints in her thubs at the wrist.

Notes for CHARLES MCCREATH:
Charles McCreath, who has no middle name, was born in Billings, but raisd on the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana. He was Bureau Chief for the Idaho State Tax Commission for over 27 years.

Notes for BLANCHE KNIGHT:
Blanche worked as an insurance agent. Details on the marriage and death of Blanche Knight as well as the locations is found on an Ancestor Chart provided by Iva Lee Calley Riggs. An additional family group sheet shows that Blanche died of a pulmonary embolism.

Notes for LOYAL JEFFERSON CALLEY:
According to notations on a family group sheet, Iva Lee Calley Riggs says that Loyal Jefferson Calley divorced Blanche Knight Calley 28 Apr 1949 and married his sister-in-law, Tom Ross Easterling Knight, former wife of James Frank Knight in 1949. He moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico and committed suicide there 26 Dec 1956. Tom, his wife, lived on the ranch with son, Bennett Thurmond "Buzz" Easterling at Quemado, Catron County, New Mexico. (She or he?) was killed in an automobile accident. Other son, Ross Eugene Easterling is a practicing psychologist at Las Cruces, New Mexico.
