Notes for WESLEY LUTHER JACOB MULLENNEIX:
Wes Mullenneix was the author of "Plymouth Rock to the Pacific," a book about the Ground/Grounds family. He was the founder of the family association of the Ground/Grounds family and author of its newsletter for several years.

Wes organized family reuinions, collected funds for replacing headstones of relatives, and repairing others. He traveled extensively with his wife, Claire, both in the United States and Europe, always looking for a new cousing and always with pad and pen in hand.

He was a prolific genealogist, and shared each and every gem he unearthed with any family member who was interested. He collected cousins, wrote them, introduced them to other cousins, and loved them all -- just because they were kin.

Jean H. Lesser

Yakima--Jean H. Lesser, 76, of Yakima, died Saturday, September 19, 1992 in Central Convalescent Center. She was born on March 6, 1916 in Yakima to Arthur and Margaret (Grounds) Lynde. She married Philip Lesser in Yakima on January 30, 1942. Mrs. Lesser lived in Yakima all of her life and was a homemaker. She was also a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She loved beadwork, flowers and craftwork.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Lesser of Yakima, two sons, Philip Lesser Jr. of White Swan and Donald E. Lesser of Tacoma; one daughtr, Marian Smith of Puyallup, WA; two sisters, Margaret Marcy of Portland, OR, and Luella Thomas of Yakima; and five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, at 1:00 in Terrace Heights Memorial Park...
