He married EUNICE BURRIS Bet. 1768 - 1772 in Hampshire Co, WV, daughter of JOHN BURRIS and ELIZABETH BOAZ. She was born 1753, and died 07 May 1824.\\\\

Notes for G
EORGE BOYDSTON:
Most sources say George was born in 1737 in Talbot County, Maryland, which seems impossible, as his father would have been only 11 years old, and his mother 6. Either the date is wrong, or George is a brother, not a son, of David Boydstun -- or, of course, the birth date of David is incorrect. For the purposes of this outline, however, I have chosen to enter the birth date for David as accepted by NSDAR, as explained in other places.

However, since so many researchers attribute this George Boydstun who married Eunice Burris (including the DAR, who says he was born 1746) to David and M. Snow, I have included him in this family group.

=====

George Boydstun moved with the Burris family to Pennsylvania and served in the Revolution from there.

According to Domonoske, he lived at Dunkard Creek in 1784, Perry Township, Greene Co, Pennsylvania, and in 181 in Wayne County, Ohio.

Listed on Greene Township, Washington Co, PA tax list 1793.

George Boidstone came to Dunkard Creek from Virginia as early as 1784. The patents granted David and George Boilston were on Dunkard Creek in Perry Township.

He apparently served in the Revolution in Monogalia County, West Virginia, or from Pennsylvania.

Came to Dunkard Creek from Virginia as early as 1784 with David. His wife and David's wife were sisters.

Some sources say he died in Maryland.

A will apparently exists. Lana Anderson refers to "Will Abstracts, Estates and Guardianships, Wayne County, Ohio 1812-1851." Volumes I & II:

9. DAVID5 BOYDSTUN, JR. (DAVID4 BOYDSTON, WILLIAM3 BOYLSTON, THOMAS2, THOMAS1) was born Unknown in 1740? (See notes); Eastern Shore of MD (Piney Ridge, Dorchester Co?), and died 02 Feb 1826 in Green Co, PA. He married ESTHER ANN BURRIS Abt. 1775 in Hampshire Co, WV (2nd mg for David); perhaps other children, daughter of JOHN BURRIS and ELIZABETH BOAZ. She was born Abt. 1760 in (Hampshire Co, WV?), and died 13 Jan 1838 in 77y 11m 20d; Green Co, PA.

Notes for D
AVID BOYDSTUN, JR.:
Again the date problem. Mehitable Snow would have been only 9 years old, and her husband 14 at the birth of David, Jr. if the most commonly seen birth date of 1740 is correct.

===

When David was about 10 years old, his family moved from the Eastern Shore of Maryland to Frederick County, Maryland, and again about 1760 to Frederick County, Virginia. He is known to have been married the first time in Frederick county, VA, but there was no record of this marriage or of any children. Except we know of Georg b. 1814. David married again about 1776 in Hampshire County, West Virginia to Esther Ann Burris. David and Esther moved with her parents to Washington County, PA where he fought in the Revolution. After the war, he settled at Mt. Morris in Greene Co, PA, where he died in 1826.\\\\

<<Note: This is the will that Jerry Glasgo refers to; he believes Jeremiah Glasgo, listed as a witness above, is not the husband of Amelia Glasgo, but is probably a brother to her husband, John Glasgo, Jr.>>

Deed: Book 3, p. 443, Green Co, PA, 24 Aug 1793. 69 acres on Dunkard Creek in Greene Township patented to David Boilstone 4 Oct 1788. Sold by David Boydstone and Esther, Washington Co.

Elizabeth Boaz Burroughs is buried near Esther and David Boydston. The tombstone reads "Elizabeth Burroughs, consort of John Burroughs d. 18 Jan 1801, aged 86." Probably the mother of Esther and Eunice Burris.
