* The Becker-Dugas Family Home Page*

Updated August 6, 2010

The earliest ancestors in this family tree were from Warsaw or Sochaczew, Poland; Krustpils, Latvia; Pandelys and Sveksna, Lithuania; Radziechow, Ukraine; and Lenin, Belarus. Their descendants mainly settled in the New York City area; Passaic, New Jersey; Denver, Colorado; and Manchester, England, UK. There is a Becker family legend that we are related to the Vaudeville singer, Belle Baker (originally Bella Becker) who lived between 1895-1957; but no one knows exactly how. Rocha(or Rose) Dugas Koch, daughter of David Dugas and his second wife, Mary, was born in 1898 in Krustpils, Latvia. She immigrated to the U. S. on November 27, 1923 aboard the S. S. Olympia which sailed from Southampton, UK. to Ellis Island, NY. She lived with relatives in Passaic, NJ for a few years, then met and married Sam Koch from New York City in 1929. They had a daughter, Dorothy Koch. Since I don't know whether or who she married, I have no further knowledge of that branch of the Dugas family.

Any facts would be appreciated, and I am willing to help others if I can.
