Cranberry Albea Bell, my great grandfather, b. Oct. 22, 1813 d. Oct 16, 1885, m. Margaret Adelaide Gentry on June 11, 1836, She was b. Dec. 7, 1815 d. Aug. 12, 1908. They had nine children between 1837 and 1860 (US Census of 1850 & 1860), and are buried in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetary, Hamptonville NC Yadkin County. Zachariah Beall & w. Rebecca Tyson and their son Walter Bell/Beall, Cranberry's father, along with other family members, also the Joseph Albea family group, came from MD to Surry(Yadkin)County NC Abt.1800 via the "Old Wagon Road". There is strong evidence that Ninian Beall, Hugh Riley and later his daughter Nancy Riley m. Isaac Windsor all knew the families of each other in Maryland before Zachariah Beall b. July 17, 1742 and Isaac Windsor b. June 20, 1753 came to Hunting Creek/Buck Shoals area of Surry (Yadkin) Co NC.
