FACTS ABOUT Lemuel Hall, M.D. LEM HALL'S MONUMENT In memory of our loving father Dr. Lemuel Harrison Hall Son of Joseph Grosvenor and Ann Warren Hall Born in Covington, Tenn., June 16, 1830 Died in Little Rock, Ark. Sept. 23, 1889 When a young man he joined the Baptist Church and Christ was the leader all through the rest of his useful and unselfish life. A more devoted husband, true friend, or loving father never lived. Past High Priest, Lonoke Chapter No. 31, Royal Arch Masons Past Worshipful Master, Lonoke Lodge 51, F. and A. Masons Past Dictator, Prairie Lodge 1645, Knights of Honor, Lonoke Pilgrim Chief, Lonoke Lodge of Oriental Order of Palm and Shell. Honored by all that knew him. He fell asleep in Jesus. The small monument on the side of Dr. Hall's grave is his son's monument, "Lemuel H. Hall, son of Helen and Lemuel Hall. Born at Hernando, Miss., Jan. 15, 1861. Died in a train wreck in San Antonio, March 2, 1888. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Brakemen." Allie Mae Boone Abraham said that Dr. Hall had persuaded her father D. R. Boone, to leave Mississippi and come to Lonoke. Dr. Hall was Lonoke's practicing physician and prescribed his "wonder drug" of pink liquid, called Dr. Hall's Diarrhea Medicine. She said her patented medicine was used all over Lonoke County.
