Sharon,
Jimmy Bozeman here from Alabama. I also am a descendant of Mordicai -
Peter Bozeman's. My line is a direct line to Peter Bozeman who died in Alabama in
1828. His heirs were Peter E., Jesse, William Henry and Lucy Campbell (wife
of Sterling Campbell). Peter did leave a will/estate and I have a copy of most
of it.
I have been trying to find the place where he is buried. The family
originally lived in the Hope Hull area of Montgomery but one of William Henry's
sons - Peter Edward_ it appears moved over to the Dublin area.
Peter's son Jesse is buried in the Carter Stokes cemetery , as is one of
his sons James, in the Hope Hull area. We have not been able to locate
neither Peter or William Henry's grave. Don't know where his son Peter E. is buried
either. Maybe you can shed some light on that.
Since you are part of Peter's son Peter E. that makes you part of the
Montgomery Bozeman family. Do you have information that proves Peter was the son
of Mordicai? All I have is pages out of a book written in 1884 by Joseph W.
Bozeman (Mississippi). Do have accounts by Peter of his service in the
Revolutionary War and pay stubs for both a Peter Bozeman and Mordicai Bozeman for
service in the South Carolina Militia.
Would love to share information with you and learn what you have concerning
Peter and Mordicai.
I did the DNA project. Mine is the bottom one on the
Mordicai-Peter-William Henry-John Thomas line. The top one is from a Bozeman in Tennessee. He and
I share John Thomas Bozeman as our gg grandfather.

Jimmy Bozeman
