Emma,
I believe that this is James Bozeman, born October 11, 1833 in Covington
County, AL, son of John Bozeman and Elizabeth Jordan. John Bozeman is
the son of James Richard Bozeman, Sr. and Rachel Roe. James Richard
Bozeman, Sr. is the son of Philemon Bozeman and Susan Holloway.

There is a listing for James Bozeman,Pvt 40th AL Infantry, CO I, listed
as
dying on Dec 24, 1864, in Rock Island Illinois Prison #706.
Steve shared this info with me. I am relatively sure that Jesse F was
the
younger brother of "my" William Edwin Bozeman. Does anyone know who
the James Bozeman who died in Rock Island Illinois was ?
