January 2008 Peter has finally been accepted by the DAR who will soon have his story in their magazine. He came to Alabama with three sons and a daughter, wife and two stepdaughters plus all of their children. Thus many more surnames follow this lineage. Researching their line I have saved tons of documents to share, but the only mention of Peter's father has been in the book
Peter settled in Hope Hull, Montgomery County, Alabama by 1827. His brother John in Mississippi in 1823 and brother James remained in Darlington South Carolina.
Peter and John along with their father Mordecai served in the American Revolution along with many other Bozemans, such as Josiah, Medeah, Jesse, Henry, Thomas, Samuel, Morris, Shadrack, Meedy, Britain, Ralph, Phillip, Phillemon, and Etheld who might have been Etheldred, most who have not been recognized by the DAR.

Peter Bozeman's estate was sold in 1829 Alabama with his son Jesse looking out for the family. Peter's son William Henry died in 1847 and once again Jesse took charge, becoming administrator of the estate.
