8. JOHN⁴ BOWMAN (JOHN³, ROBERT², ROBERT¹) was born Bef 1705 in Henrico Parish, Virginia, and died Bef March 1756 in Chesterfield County, Virginia. He married MARY COOKE in Henrico Parish, Virginia, daughter of William Cooke.

To children; John Bowman, Amey Farmer, Drury Bowman, Joseph Bowman, Prudence Bowman, Sary Hill and Obedience Clark, each one shilling.

To daughter Preseller (Priscilla), feather bed and other items.

To son Daniel, land and plantation I live on, 160 acres and rest of my estate. If he die, land to be sold and money divided among all my children.

Executors: Sons John and Daniel

Witness: Simon Hancock, Joseph Taylor and Jan Hancock

10. SARAH⁴ BOWMAN (JOHN³, ROBERT², ROBERT¹) was born Bef 1707 in henrico Parish, Virginia, and died Bef November 1736 in Henrico County, Virginia (?). She married JOHN KNIBB in henrico Parish, Virginia.

Notes
       This family is speculative. Sarah Bowman, daughter of John Bowman, did marry a Knibb and did have a son John, most probably named after his father or grandfather. In Weisiger's Colonial Wills of Henrico County, Virginia, Part Two 1737-1781, on p. 3, he provides two entries of interest from 1738:

Robert Wynne, who married a daughter of John Knibb, dec'd, petitions for a part of the said de'd's estate. John Archer, Joseph Royall, and John Worsham, Gent. to divide estate according to will of dec'd.

Katherine Knibb chooses John Knibb her guardian, who accepts, Joseph Royall & John Bowman, security.

       Note that this family is speculative. Sarah Bowman Knibb and her son John Knibb are the only documented members of the family. Based on the claim of Robert Wynne against the estate of John Knibb, deceased, I have surmised that this is the husband of Sarah Bowman Knibb and I have also surmised that Katherine Knibb and John Knibb her guardian are the grandchildren of John Bowman. To have stood as guardian of a younger sister John Knibb must have been born in 1716 or earlier.
