In his letter of 9 July 1968 from Dallas, TX, Paris W. Loucks, now deceased, wrote:
Lorenze Arterberry is a descendant of Moses, son of the South Carolina brother, Nathan.

NOTE: Louise Kelly Crowder to Ruth Hollings (1966):
"The citation in the file of Nathan, a legal notice to be read "publickly" admonishing kindred and creditors of the dec'd to appear etc. was read by Rev. Elias Mitchell, an early Baptist minister whose pastorate was in the Sandy River area of Chester and also across the Broad River in Union County, SC. He was at one time pastor of the Sandy River Baptist Church, the exact location of which has been the object of search for a number of years.
I am rather of the opinion that these Arterburys/Atterburys were members of the Sandy River Church or the old church near Broad River known as Shaw Church. Shaw Church site has only two Hill marked graves in existence now - or they were there 4 years ago!"
(Reference is made to Hills: two of Wm. Hill's daughters married Atterburys.)
