Anna P. on this census - this grandma Brooks has been a challenge to trace since her mother married 3 or 4 times and Roxi married twice and altered her own name several ways. Roxanna Permilia married John Brooks in 1860 yet found later on as Perthana, Anna, and as P. R. Her son John married Annie Clark Ballard and named a son Edgar Brooks.
- 1900 Ballard Brooks and Pennington (1400 KB)
Lawrence TN
- Joe's Certificate (542 KB)
After his military service in Pearl Harbor he joined the Fire Department and his middle initial is M. on this document which could be for his grandfather Marion - Some notes have his name as Joe Edd - no doubt they used nicknames but he was probably named after several of his grandfathers. Now some may think that I have the wrong Joe here, but Uncle Joe came to our home very often and gave some papers to my mother for safe-keeping. Also found was his military id card which states he was allergic to penicillin, just like many others in the family, but also allergic to the tetanus vaccine.
- Tombstone of Larry (75 KB)
Son of John Fuller and Hazel Richards
- 1900 Lawrence TN (1227 KB)
Dora Craig Ballard is on page 2 after James and note that their daughter Annie was on page 1 and that Uncle Jake Pennington is also near them. Dora's mother was Rebeccca Caroline Pennington.
