Vincent Joiner
was married to one of their father's sisters. or
he possibly married the widow of Medy if she was still

Peter
moved to MS
by 1839 and is listed there in
1850.
The
mystery remains as to why Sarah and Peter named their
first born son Meedy.

Peter lives beside
Elijah Anderson who had inherited his father's land but Jesse
is not beside them now. The elder Peter Bozeman and
Sarah have died and their land divided. This Peter and Gilly
have 2 sons and 2 daughters plus the three slaves he purchased
from his father's estate sale in

Even though Jesse
petitioned the court and got the Writ of Dower approved for
Martha, she has moved and living near other women about her
age, possibly her sisters, all from South Carolina and in same
district as John Hill. Her daughter Martha M. and sons,
Peter, and John T. are still in this household. Martha M.
married Norman Campbell, John married Nancy K. Hill and Peter
married Nancy Jane Anderson ( granddaughter of Elijah), while
Martha's son Meedy G married a widowed Rebecca Brewer and
adopted her children.
