She married JOHN ANDREW RAFFENSPARGER, son of SAMUEL RAFFENSPARGER and IDA SHERMAN. He was born Abt. 1889 in Altoona,Pa, and died October 26, 1958 in 111 E. Hume Ave., Alexandria, Va - Mount Comfort Cemetery.

Died in Tucson, Arizona 11:13 am on April 13,1980 at Tucson General Hospital at the age of 88 from cardio-respiratory arrest due to old age. She was cremated on 4-16-80 at El Encanto Crematory in Tucson, Arizona. Funeral Home was Valley Funeral Home at 2545 N. Tucson Blvd., Tucson, Arizona. She was a resident of
Arizona for 16 years.

OHN ANDREW RAFFENSPARGER:
In Loving Memory Of John A. Raffensparger

Aged 69, a retired signal maintainer for the Pennsylvania Railroad here, died at 8:30 a.m. yesterday at his home, 111 E. Hume Ave., Alexandria, Va., after a week's illness. He was born in Altoona, a son of Lloyd and Ida (Sherman) Raffensparger, and married Bessie Ramey. He retired in 1951 from the railroad service. Surviving are his wife, four children, Mrs. Nellie Shumaker, Mrs. Ruth E. Gority, John K. and Richard B., all of Alexandria; 15 grandchildren, and one brother, Daniel of Altoona. Friends are being received at the Cunningham Funeral Home, Alexandria. Died October 26, 1958.

Nellie J. Showalter

Mrs. Showalter, 95, formerly of 305 Locust St., Martinsburg, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 1985, in Homewood Retirement Center, Martinsburg.
Mrs. Showalter retired as a practical nurse in the Martinsburg area after many years.
She was born Oct. 9, 1889, in Blue Knob, the daughter of Aaron L. and Mary (Ritchey) Ramey, and in 1908, married Adam Showalter, who died Jan. 24, 1929.
Surviving are four children: H. Raymond of Martinsburg, Mary Fisher of Lakewood, N.J.; Wilfred L. of Altoona and Earl J. of Detroit, Mich.; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Also surviving is a sister, Katharine Myers of Altoona.
Mrs. Showalter was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Martinsburg.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring.

SHOWALTER - Services for Nellie Showalter of Martinsburg will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring, by the Rev. L. Hugh Gowan. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Homewood Retirement Center, Martinsburg.

Annie Katharine Myers

Mrs. Myers, 94, a guest at Valley View Home, formerly of 202 E. Logan Ave., died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, 1990, at the home, after an entended illness.
Mrs. Myers was formerly employed at the Blank Book Factory, Roaring Spring.
She was born Oct. 31, 1895, in Blue Knob, the daughter of Arron and Mary (Ritchey) Ramey, and Dec. 24, 1919, in Roaring Spring, married George H. Myers, who died March 9, 1959.
Surviving are three granddaughters: Martha Reed of Wilmington, Del.; Barbara Coho of Williamsburg and Carole Benton of Hollidaysburg, and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Myers was a member of the East End United Methodist Church.
There will be no public viewing.
Arrangements by the Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home.

Maude S. Ramey

76, of 718 Pleasant Valley Blvd., died at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, 1981, in Mercy Hospital, following a brief illness. Mrs. Ramey retired as a secretary from Penn Central in 1970, after 30 years' service. She was born Feb. 17, 1905, in Altoona, the daughter of Charles and Irena (Baker) Shope, and June 29, 1924, in Altoona, married Lloyd H. Ramey, who died Jan. 13, 1980. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Cecelia Walinsky of Bridgeton, N.J., and Orille and Raymond, at home; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister and brother, Mrs. Clara L. Ferguson of Altoona and John H. of Salisbury, Md. Mrs. Ramey was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church. Arrangements by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata.
