Prominet farmer of Blair Township died at his home near the Catfish Hotel, on the Leamersville Turnpike Sat. evening at 6:30 pm - age 84 yrs. Life long resident of Blair Co.- Vet of Mexican War and War of the Rebellion. He was a Lutheran. Survived by his wife and the following children: Almiranda Coulter of Newport, Mrs. Catherine Kephart of Blair Twp., Mrs. Nanna McCloskey of Blair Twp.,Mrs. Elizabeth Irwin of Alabama, Mrs. Rilla Peters at home, Lloyd of Altoona. Funeral Serices 2 pm. Buried Oak Ridge Cem.

Daniel Raffensberger started a stage line from Logansville to York, Pa. with a blind horse and a small wagon. In 1888, Oct. 1st, he sold stage line to Frank Beck.
