George Alfred Bureau (son of Emanuel Bureau and Eveliana M Campeau) was born January 12, 1908 in Marquette, Michigan, and died September 25, 1973 in Marquette, Michigan. He married Cecile T Trottier on September 14, 1931 in St John's Church, Marquette, Michigan, daughter of Archille Trottier and Albertin Plaisance.

George A. Bureau

George A. Bureau 65, of 223 West Ohio St., Marquette, died at 9:15 Tuesday morning in Marquette General Hospital North. He had been a patient less than a day.

Born Jan. 12, 1908, in Marquette, Mr. Bureau was a life resident here. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Army Medical Corps. He was in Paris during 1944 and 1945.

Prior to his retirement in May, 1971, he had been self-employed as a barber since 1946.

Surviving are his wife, Cecile; two sons, Bruce G. Bureau, Ishpeming, and Lee T. Bureau, Milwaukee; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Judith) Beltrame, Escanaba; 16 grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Leo (Loretta) Robert and Mrs. Robert (Jane) Williams, both of Marquette, and Mrs. James (Mary) Russell, Burlingame, Calif.; three brothers, Donald and Robert Bureau, Marquette, and Paul Bureau, Milwaukee, and several nieces and nephews.

The body is at Tonella's Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The parish vigil will be held there at 8 Thursday night.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 Friday morning in St. John's Church with the offering of the Mass of Resurrection. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Services for George A. Bureau, who died Tuesday in Marquette General Hospital North, will be held at 9:30 Friday morning in St. John's Church with the offering of the Mass of Resurrection. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.

The Escourts will be James Soli, James ogle, Michael Guelff, Dolf Stindt, Leonard Perrin and Harry Thompson.

Friends may call at Tonell's Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. today. The parish vigil will be held at 8 tonight.
