2. Edward J. Bushaw was born on 21 May 1922 in Canton, St. Lawrence, NY. He served in the military between 1942 and 1945 in North Solomon, Southern Phillipines. Served in the United States Army, 39 months (attached to the Marines) in the South Pacific. Landed first in the Fiji Islands. Fought invasions at Gaudalcanal and Bogainville. Army infantry, landed on beaches and a gunner to guard airstrips. One of the first on the Island of the Philippines to liberate prisoners . Decorations and citations: Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. He was a Painter and Worked St. Law. Seaway between 1945 and 1985 in Canton and St. Law. River, NY. He died on 13 Mar 1995 in Canton, St. Lawrence, NY. He Buried in May 1995 in Beech Plains Cememtery, West Pierrepont, NY. He was married to Marjorie F. Towne in 1951 in Russell Methodist Church, Russell, NY.
