My husband and I was born and raised in the Ozarks of Missouri in two small towns called Winona and Eminence, in Shannon County. My roots also are in the counties of "Reynolds,Carter and Oregon County".I have many lines of our families back to the 1600's. Barnett: John (1798, North Carolina), Elijah (1822 Tennessee).John and Elijah moved to Independence County, Arkansas where they stayed the rest of their lives. Elijah married Matilda McBride and after his death Matilda moved back to Pulaski Co. Missouri where she was born and lived with her daughters until her death.
Hopkins: William Hopkins born about 1817 in Tennessee, known children: Nancy E.(born abt 1843 Tennessee) and Robert born abt 1862 Illinois. I will be hiring a genealogist to search for this family soon.
