This family tree stems from Mathew Cation and Margaret Lawson of Auchtermuckty, Scotland. They had seven children between the years 1792-1807. Their son, David Cation, married Janet Brown. David and Janet immigrated to Canada with three sons, Walter, William and David in 1833.
