1.CHRISTIAN1 DASHER was born Abt. 1700 in Switzerland, and died in Ebenezer, GA. He married ANNA GUJAN. She was born in Switzerland.

"In 1741 the Trustees of English possessions in the colonies engaged the services of Hans Jacob Riemensperger and Hans Caspar Galliser to recruit Germans and Swiss to work in the production of silk in the new colony of Georgia. Among those recruited, who sailed to Georgia on the Europa were John Martin Dasher (Taescher), his brother Christian, name of wife not given and his nephew Christian. Christian 1 was a Revolutionary soldier in South Carolina where record is found of his being paid for his services in 1781. The above information appears to be incorrect in light of this entry in Colonial Records of Georgia, vol.29, pg62 for the year 1735: "William Cooksey brings a Swiss servant with him named Christian Dasher, he is to have five of the twenty Acres as his Servant set out on his Arrival being allowed to work one day in a week thereon for himself, and the other fifteen Acres is to be set out as soon as conveniently may be afterwards."
