My 10th great grandfather was John Clark b: 1601-3 d: 1674 He was married to Mary or Sarah Coley. John was one of the founders of Hartford CT.He later moved to Saybrook CT. My 4th great grandfather John Clark b:1766 d: 1835 was married to Chloe Pratt. My 3rd great grandfather was Charles William Clark b:1796 d:1863 in Fulton, NY, His wife was Anna Merwin. Charles lived in Whitby Ontario Canada in the middle 1800,s and he had a brewery there, called The Whitby Brewery. One of his son's James Alanson Clark,my 2nd great grandfather, We have some information on him. He was born in Leyden, Lewis County,NY around 1823 and died around 1893 in UNKNOWN. His wife was Isabel Clough from Scotland and they had one son Fredrick who was born on 11 Nov 1853, 3 weeks after they arrived in Whitby, Ontario, Canada, we know he was in Whitby Ontario, Canada for a few years also he was in Toronto, Canada for a while then we lost him, They had 3 more boys, all born in Whitby, Ontario, Canada whom we know nothing about. They are Charles John Clark,b:ca; 1850 James
Merwin Clark b:ca; 1856 and John Winslow or Wilson Clark,b: ca;1858, they were probley all born and raised in Canada also. I did hear that James may have been in Nova Scotia for a while also.
