FOOTE - 'Gran' - Louisa, wife of Jack Foote

Louisa Foote, born Kelvin Place, Cardigan St, Carlton 28.12.1887, daughter of William Wood and Jane Ann ne้ Preston who did not marry until 13.8.1900, 13 years after Louisa was born. Jane's first husband was Juan Villarreal Y Flores, a cook, the son of a Spanish sea captain, and was born at Malaga, Spain in 1833. Jane had 'taken up' with William Wood who lived down the street and Louisa was their child, but Jane could not marry William until Juan died, which he did on 17.4.1897 at the Melbourne Benevolent Asylum. Jane and Juan did have one child, Anna, born 21.12.1884. Nothing is known of her.
