EDNA OLETHA VAN DORN (daughter of WILLIAM EARL VAN DORN and WILLIE FINNY JOSEPHINE McGINTY) was born July 09, 1900 in GONZALES, GONZALES CO.TEXAS, and died April 27, 1971 in FUNERAL WAS HELD AT CHAPEL OF THE MILL-BAUER FUNERAL HOME IN EAGLE LAKE. She married LOUIS CHARLES SCHILLING on July 21, 1920 in LAMPASSAS, TEXAS.

Mrs. L.C. Schilling
Mrs. Louis C. Schilling, a long-time resident of the Garwood community, died in the Eagle Lake Community Hospital April 27, 1971. She was known as Momo Schilling. She was the daughter of Earl and Willie McGinty Van Dorn, born July 9, 1900, in Lampasas. She was a lifetime member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the Garwood Methodist Church, a member of the Garden Club and the WHD Club and was active with the Garwood Library board.
Funeral services were held from the Chapel of the Mill-Bauer Funeral Home in Eagle Lake at 10 a.m. last Thursday. Interment was in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetary in Columbus. Rev. Jim Heath, pastor of First Baptist Church in Columbus, officiated.
Surviving are her father, Earl Van Dorn; two sons L.D. Schilling and Denver Schilling of Columbus; one daughter , Mrs. Nelda Larsen, also of Columbus; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. One son Melvin, and Mr. Schilling preceded her in death.
Pallbearers were Melvin Rees, Kenneth Nance, Dale Hunt, Neal Stallman, Carl Smith and Clarence Frels.
