Augustus CANNON (son of Truston P. CANNON) was born 16 Apr 1834 in Delaware, and died 22 Jan 19121.

Death Of Mr. Augustus Cannon
Mr Augustus Cannon aged seventy-eight years, died on Monday
night last at his home in West Denton, heart disease being the
cause of his demise. His illness was brief, and the sad event
came as a stock to a wide circle of relatives and friends in
Maryland, and Delaware. The funeral was held at his late
residence yesterday about noon, and interment took place in
Denton cemetery. Rev. H. A. G. Westerfield, Rev. Thomas J. Sard
and Rev. T. C. Smoot were the officiating ministers. Mr Cannon
was a Methodist and for many years was connected and worshipped
with that denomination. He was a native of Delaware and resided
in Sussex many years before he came to Maryland. Most of his
life was spend in farming. His first wife Lavinia Fleetwood and
their children. numbering thirteen, survive, as follows: Mr.
James Alfred Cannon, of Queen Anne; Mr. Marion Clinton Cannon,
of Queen Anne; Mrs. P. Paul Council, of Talbot; Mr. Trustin
Purnell Cannon, of near Burrisville; Mr. William Harris Cannon,
of near Preston; Mr. Ira Augustus Cannon of Anderson, Indiana;
Mr. Zora Walton Cannon, of near Preston; Mrs. A. M. Dulin, of
near Burrisville; Mrs. William Pemberton, of Eddystone, Pa.;
Miss Antoinette Cannon, of Talbot; Miss Mary Cannon, Miss
Sallie Ellis Cannon, and Mis Jennie Fleetwood Cannon, of West
Denton. Mr. Cannon's first wife died about sixteen years ago
and six sons were the pallbearers. These sons were the
pallbearers at the funeral of their father yesterday. Surviving
also is Mr. Cannon's second wife, who before her second
marriage was Mrs Lida Camper, of Kent county, Delaware. There
were no children by the second marriage. Mr. Cannon had lived
in West Denton about one year.
