May 18, 1866 - Anderson Crabtree appointed Administrator of Hiram Crabtree Estate.

Sept. 30, 1865 - Hiram Crabtree certified to teach school.
Jan. 29, 1866 - Hiram Crabtree shot and did shoot one Isaac Forbes at school house north of
Lancaster, MO (Schuyler Co.).
Mar. 15, 1866 - Lancaster Excelsior Newspaper: (The two men, Crabtree and Forbes, who shot each
other some time since at the schoolhouse north of town, are both, thanks to the
surgical skill of Dr. Lambert, running around again. Crabtree was shot in the
breast, both lungs, left arn and abdomen. His arm was amputated. Forbis was
shot through the right breast and lung and got well rapidly.
Dr. Lambert has not forgotten the skill exercised on the field of battle and is
well that the people should know who to call on when in a scrape.)
Apr. 27, 1866 - State of Missouri Vs Hiram Crabtree; in the shooting of Isaac Forbes.

The following data is unverified, and I am unable to reach the submitter of this data on Ancestry.com. However, if we do our homework, we might find out that she is right.
