According to the information that I have, all of the above were born, lived, married and died in Langenselbold, Ger. Kunigunda's grandson, Johann Georg FAUST came to Berks Co., Pa. in Sept. of 1741. |

Notes for Johannes Faust: Some of the information that I have found is that Johan Peter Foust who is the son of Kunigunga Mohn and Johan (Hans) Foust married a Magdalena Adams. Johan Peter Foust died in Philadelphia. His son Philip Lebs Foust was married in Berks Co, Pa to Magdelin Albright. The Fousts are listed right after Johannes Mohn on the passenger list of the ship Elizabeth that arrived in Philadelphia in Aug, 1733.The Albrights and the Fousts are intermarried with the Mohns there in Berks. Hans FAUST was the ancestor of many of the FAUSTs and FOUSTs in America. This information came from various sources. Any corrections would be appreciated. Hans was born in Wolferborn, Hesse, Germany. Hans' father was Johan FAUST born about 1580 in Wolferborn. I do not have his mother's name. Early in Hans' life the Plague hit the area hard. Then followed the Thirty Years War. Hans moved to Langenselbold, a town about 16 miles away. His father also later moved there. On 16 Mar 1840 Hans married Elizabeth FISCHER. Elizabeth was from a well established family of Langenselbold. Her paternal grandfather was once the mayor of the town. Hans and Elizabeth had 6 children. One of these Johan FAUST who married Kunigunda MOHN. The MOHNs were also a well established Langenselbold family. Johan and Kunigunda had 2 children that immigrated to America. One of these was my ancestor, Johan Peter. Johan Peter's family appears to be the most widely studied (and possibly the most prolific) of the FAUST/FOUST families in America. Johan and Kunigunda had a daughter, Elisabeth, who married Andreas LERCH. This family also immigrated to America. After the death of Elizabeth FISCHER, Hans married Kunigunda GAUL. Kunigunda was from Ravolzhausen, a town about three miles from Langenselbold. Hans and Kunigunda also had 6 children. One of these was Johan Georg. I do not know Johan Georg's wife's name. One of their sons was Johan Philip. Philip and family came to America on the same ship as cousin Peter (see above) and family. The ship was The Elisabeth that arrived in Philadelphia on 27 Aug 1733. Again, I would appreciate any corrections. Some of this info came from World Family Tree CD's and LDS information.
