Obituary: Marianne Cremering Moster, 56, of Mount Airy, a teacher for two decades, died Sunday at home after a long battle with cancer.
Mrs. Moster taught in the Mount Healthy, Cincinnati and Columbus school districts. For the past 10 years, she taught third grade at Frost Elementary in Springfield Township.
"She was an outstanding teacher and will be missed by the faculty and students alike," said Frost Principal Bob Kelly.
She was born in 1940 and grew up in Mount Washington, attending Guardian Angels Elementary and McNicholas High schools. She graduated from Marygrove College in Detroit and received a master's degree in educational counseling from the University of Cincinnati.
Mrs. Moster was a member of Little Flower Parish and the Mount Healthy Teachers Association.
"She had a dynamic and outgoing personality that attracted people to her," said her son, Steve Moster of Atlanta. "She was concerned about other people and had a sincere desire to help them through the ups and downs of life."
Other survivors include her husband of 33 years, Dr. Walter Moster; two daughters, Laura Ritter of Houston and Lynn Moster of Mount Airy; and a granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. today at Hodapp Funeral Home, College Hill. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 A.M. Friday at Little Flower Church in Mount Airy with entombment following at Spring Grove Mausoleum.
Memorials can be made to the Mount Healthy Coordinating Council, Marianne Moster Memorial, 7615 Harrison Ave., Cincinnati 45231.
