Patrick was placed on a respirator at birth. His parents were told he could go home but would need to stay on the respirator to live and probably would not live longer than a year. About two month's after birth and never leaving the hospital, Patrick's parents made the decision to remove him from the respirator and he died shortly there after in his mother's arms. He was buried above his great grandparents in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery
